Inventory of Callous-Unemotional Traits
The Inventory of Callous-Unemotional Traits (ICU) is a copyright protected 24-item questionnaire designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of callous and unemotional traits. These traits have proven to be important for designating a distinct subgroup group of antisocial and aggressive youth. The ICU has three subscales: Callousness, Uncaring, and Unemotional. There are five versions of the scale: Youth Self-Report, Parent Report, Teacher Report, Parent Report (Preschool Version), and Teacher Report (Preschool Version). Researchers can download and use the ICU free of charge in their work. My only request is that copies of any publications using the ICU are sent to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is no manual for the ICU. Several studies which describe the development of the scale, its subscale structure, and initial tests of its validity can be obtained here.

Other examples of how the ICU has been scored and used in past research and additional evidence in support of its reliability and validity can be obtained from a number of published studies using the scale. These are summarized in this reference list.
There have been a number of approved translations of the ICU. These are summarized in this list of translations. This list also includes contact information for obtaining the translated versions of the scale.
