Amber L. Allison, B.S.
Graduate Student
Research Interest
Amber Allison graduated cum laude from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in psychology. She decided on a graduate program in biopsychology since the field bridged her interests: brain and body; she is currently working under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Shirtcliff at the University of New Orleans. Her main research interests involve stress physiology, specifically the hormonal causes and effects of behaviors associated with both psychopathology and personality with particular focus on adolescence. By identifying the hormonal correlates to such behaviors, Amber hopes to contribute to an understanding of the psychobiological underpinnings that contribute to the “storm and stress” of adolescence.
