Research Interest
Rachel Kahn, M.A. received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University and her M.A. from John Jay College of Criminal Justice from the City University of New York. For the past 4 years, under the direction of Dr. Kent A. Kiehl, she has coordinated several NIMH grants examining then neural correlates of psychopathy in adults and adolescents. She is a first year graduate student in the Applied Developmental Program working with Dr. Paul Frick in the Developmental Psychopathology lab.
Her main research interests include the study of risk and protective factors within our environment, such as, parental style and family interaction, effect of maltreatment or abuse, education, and moral reasoning skills, on the development of conduct disorder in children and adolescents. Rachel is also interested in examining gender and ethnicity differences among this subset of conduct disordered youth in order to develop and implement more effective and tailored prevention and intervention programs.
