Graduate Student

ltaylor@uno.edu

Research Interest

Leslie received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia in August of 2002. After graduating, Leslie had the privilege of working for the National Treatment Center Study (NTCS). As a NTCS research technician, she spent two years traveling nationally to collect data on various organizational aspects and therapeutic innovations of substance abuse treatment for principle investigators, Dr. J. Aaron Johnson, and Dr. Paul M. Roman, Distinguished Research Professor of Sociology at the University of Georgia.

Leslie began her graduate studies at the University of New Orleans in the Fall of 2004.  She conducts research and performs clinical work with Dr. Carl F. Weems in the Youth and Family Stress, Phobia, Anxiety, and Fear laboratory. Her current research interests focus upon traumatized youth. Specifically, Leslie is interested in the emotional and behavioral problems youth develop in the wake of trauma as well as the types of treatment interventions that facilitate therapeutic change in this population.

She is a Fifth year graduate student in Dr. Carl Weems lab
