Research Interests Leslie received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia in August of 2002. After attaining her degree, Leslie worked as a research technician for the National Treatment Center Study. As a research technician, she spent two years traveling nationally to collect data on various organizational aspects and therapeutic innovations of substance abuse treatment for principle investigators, Dr. J. Aaron Johnson, and Dr. Paul M. Roman, Distinguished Research Professor of Sociology at the University of Georgia.

Leslie began her graduate studies at the University of New Orleans in the Fall of 2004. She conducts research with Dr. Carl F. Weems in the Youth and Family Stress, Phobia, Anxiety, and Fear laboratory. Her current research interests focus upon childhood trauma, specifically the types of events youth find traumatic, and the phenomenology of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in youth.

She is a Fourth year graduate student in Dr. Carl Weems lab.
