Like the University itself, our department is nearly 40 years old. We are proud of our reputation as a department which emphasizes the importance of research in both the delivery of state-of-the-art psychological services and the teaching of students. We offer undergraduates a B.S. in psychology and our graduate students a Ph.D. in Applied Biopsychology or Applied Developmental Psychology.
The Department has 18 faculty members, over 600 undergraduate majors, and between 30 and 40 graduate students. We are located on the second floor of the Psychology/Geology Building in the southwest corner of the UNO campus. Please drop by and visit us. Faculty in our department have achieved recognition in a wide range of areas in biological and developmental psychology. Undergraduate and graduate students can participate in the research and service activities in the department via independent study courses and as student workers.
